When I was in New York City during the launch week for AWAKE, I had the pleasure of being back on The Sherri Show. The way I love Sherri Shepherd… we always have a blast — and this conversation was no different. There were tender and vulnerable moments, too.
At one point, I shared: “The only thing scarier than telling the truth was not telling the truth. When I felt like I could write this story with generosity, self-awareness, and discretion, that’s when I knew I was ready.”
We also talked about Tyler (he was with me behind the scenes), dating apps, what it’s like to be a first-time grandma (hello, “Hattie”), and how faith looks different now — more relaxed, more free.
