Book Club
How do I update my address or credit card?

By logging into your member account here, you will be to update your account details, including your payment method and your billing or mailing address. If you have questions, contact us here.

Please note that if your shipping information or payment method is not updated by the 4th, that charges will be attempted to card on file, and the shipping label for that month will be printed and sent to the address currently on file.

How do I access the book club content and my account?

When you activate your membership, you’ll create a user name and password for jen-hatmaker-store.myshopify.com. Hang onto your login credentials and use them any time to access the password protected book club content at jen-hatmaker-store.myshopify.com.

When you created your account, you’ve should have also received an account activation email from jen-hatmaker-store.myshopify.com to confirm your account.  However, if you’re unable to access your account, please contact us here.

I’m having trouble accessing my account. How do I regain access?

If you previously activated your membership, you should’ve been guided through the process of creating a password for jen-hatmaker-store.myshopify.com/account/login account. If you can’t remember your password, visit the login page at jen-hatmaker-store.myshopify.com/account/login. Then, scroll scroll down and click ‘Forgot Password’ to reset your password.

If you don’t see the email in your inbox, please check your spam folder. If it doesn’t arrive within 30 minutes or you’re still unable to access your account, please contact us here.

I tried to sign up for the book club, but my payment failed. What should I do?

It’s not working, and your credit card isn’t even maxed out?! What’s with that?!

Though this happens sometimes, we understand your frustration. We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Please try re-entering your card information again to make sure it’s correct. If that fails, contact us here.

If I buy one membership, can’t I just share it with my friends or family members?

Well, you could show everyone the bonus materials included in your membership, but they wouldn’t receive a copy of the book in the mail or be given access to the private Facebook group. What is a book club with neither the book nor the club? No fun if you ask us.

Plus, you’re a nice person, and you don’t want to break copyright law, do you? Didn’t think so.

Do you know someone who should join the book club? Contact us here, and we’ll help you buy it for them as a gift.

Can I transfer my membership to another person?

We’d love it if you could, but, no, use is for the purchaser only.

Can I purchase a membership for someone else? If so, how?

Please sign up for your friend’s membership HERE, using your friend’s name and email address (so she can have her own account), but your billing information.

After you do this, please send us an email at [email protected] with their shipping address and we’ll get it updated so the book box goes to her!

**Please note that we do not offer prepaid memberships. All billing will be charged month to month.**
If she decides to keep the membership after your gift time expires, she can use this form to let us know to update the payment information to her account. This is very important, because if we do not hear back from either you or your friend to either cancel or update payment, the charge on the 5th of the month will go on the card on file.

What happens if I don’t receive my book?

If you don’t receive your book, please contact us here so we can investigate the issue to either locate your shipment or have another book sent to you.

Can I put my account on hold, or choose which months I want to participate in?

Need to take a quick break from your Book Club box? You will now need to contact us, using the ‘submit subscription pause request’ button below, to pause your subscription for 1 month. After this one month period, you will need to email us back at [email protected] to either reinstate or cancel your subscription.

We will need to receive your pause request by the 3rd of the month prior to the month you want to pause. Your automatic payments will resume on the 5th of the next month. Your account cannot be paused for consecutive months.

Say what?! Here’s an example:

If you want to pause your account for August, we would have to pause your account by July 3. You will not be charged on July 5. The next charge date will be August 5 for September’s book club.

Will there ever be a less expensive option that doesn’t include the book?

The simple answer is, YES!!  We call it it the BYOB (bring your own book) option.  

BYOB or Digital Content Members Only subscriptions do not receive a monthly book box but can participate in all of the monthly activities.

  • Flexibility to Bring Your Own Book of the Month in whatever format you choose! (Jen Hatmaker Book Club will not provide a book for you but you can follow along with the reading by using a book format of your choice like an eBook, library book, already purchased book, audio book, or however you want to follow along.)
  • Access to our private Jen Hatmaker Book Club Facebook group and a monthly Facebook Live with Jen Hatmaker
  • Customized book-related materials, such as chapter summaries, a reading plan, discussion questions, and other great digital resources just for the Jen Hatmaker Book Club
  • An exclusive video podcast with Jen Hatmaker and the author or other special guest
  • Member only digital events and experiences

Your membership becomes active on the day of your registration. 

What happens if I already own the selected book?

As your subscription includes other materials to enrich your reading experience, we hope you’ll read it again with the rest of the community and then gift your new copy to a friend.

Will I get personal access to Jen?

Jen will be periodically communicating with all members in the private Facebook group as well as providing the members-only Book Club podcast. As she is just one person, she cannot commit to responding to every direct message or post submitted.

Is there a membership option for people who prefer digital books, such as ebooks or audiobooks?

The simple answer is, YES!!  We call it it the BYOB (bring your own book) option.

How do I access the Jen Hatmaker Book Club Podcasts?

Click on this link Book Club Podcast. You should be directed to your account login.  Once logged it, you should be able to access the podcast section in the book club content area. The podcast is available at the end of each month.

How do I access the Jen Hatmaker Book Club Facebook group?

Once you have signed up and confirmed your Jen Hatmaker Book Club member account, click HERE to request access to join the FB group.

As soon as we have confirmed your account, you will be accepted into the FB group. That’s where you’ll be able to chat with all our other members, check out our previous FB Lives with Jen, access digital content, videos, and so much more. Pro tip: Find all of Jen’s posts in the group under the ANNOUNCEMENTS tab; catch up on FB Lives and other videos in the VIDEOS tab; and find all our archived content (reading plans, discussion questions, book summaries, podcast playlists, recipes, and more) in the FILES tab. Let us know if we can answer any other questions!

When will I receive the book, chapter summaries, reading plan, and discussion questions?

If you registered for the Book Club on or before the 5th of the month preceding, you’ll receive your book by the first day of the month. All content (weekly summaries, reading plan, and discussion questions as well as other bonuses!) will be available on the first day of the book club month. The video podcast will debut on the last day of the book club month, in the private Facebook group, but it will be available for you to listen to anytime after that date.

How will the book, chapter summaries, reading plan, and discussion questions be delivered for physical memberships?

The book will be mailed directly to you. The other materials will be available as PDFs for viewing and/or direct download within your content hub and our private Facebook group.

What’s included in the monthly physical membership?

As a member, you’ll receive the book along with digital weekly summaries, reading plans, and weekly group discussion questions.

You’ll also receive access to the private Jen Hatmaker Book Club Facebook group and an exclusive podcast with the author or other special guests (separate from Jen’s For The Love podcast and only available to members!).

PLUS, you’ll receive other special bonuses! Each month will be different — your book box will include fun surprises along the way. You can also expect fun things in your member account like shareable quote memes, Spotify playlists, recipes, life tips, and more!

I don’t live in the United States. Can I still participate?

Yes! We have made some changes in our system that will make it possible for our International friends to be part of the Jen Hatmaker Book Box Club or BYOB Membership.

Unfortunately, we can’t cover the cost of customs fees nor can we guarantee on-time delivery of the book box due to ‘in transit’ travel time internationally. If you are comfortable with that, we would love for you to join us. We also offer the Digital Only (BYOB) Membership that allows you to source the book yourself and not worry about the shipping fees or delivery issues!

Can I cancel at any time?

You will now need to email us here, to cancel your subscription. Please note that if you cancel after the 4th of the month, you will be charged for that next month’s book club. Then, your membership will be canceled for the following month.

What is Me Course with Jen Hatmaker?

Our mission here is simple: This is inspirational, educational AND actionable content as I like to say “For The Rest Of Us.” We’ll be covering categories where I’ve seen the most life change in myself and in others. Each course will guide you through a specific topic using videos, digital resources, and bonus guides.

Where do I login to access the Me Course?

You can login HERE:

After you login, you will see the Me Courses you have purchased will be available in your Library.

Is all Me Course content available on demand?

All of your Me Course videos and digital resources will become available to you, starting January 10.

How do I purchase more than one Me Course?

All Me Courses can be purchased by visiting mecourse.org. After you have completed your purchase, the Me Courses will be available in your Library.

How long will the Me Course material be available?

Currently, all Me Course content will be available indefinitely. This availability is subject to change.
