I had no idea one of my literary heroes was even reading an advanced copy of my book, much less compelled to talk about it like this to Vanity Fair.
Jennifer Rudolph Walsh was the literary agent at WME who absolutely, fundamentally changed the world for female authors. The first time I met her, she walked into the green room at an arena for Women of Faith and said, “What the hell is going on here?” I obviously fell instantly in love.
(JRW has co-created the world’s most perfect bookstore in Montecito called Godmothers Books, and it is the stuff of dreams.)
What I am trying to say is that a response like this from a literary legend can’t be quantified. These words made me get very still and quiet. AWAKE is happening — and she thinks it should. Thank you, Jennifer.
