Overwhelmingly Anna LeBaron and Ruth Wariner, authors of The Polygamist’s Daughter and The Sound of Gravel, respectively, were at the top of the list. They share how they overcame the worst of circumstances in their childhoods as part of a polygamist cult and how later they discovered the tragedy that bound them, but didn’t define them.
